(3)Not worth seeing
By a customer from Ilford , 30 Apr 2008Too many errors......................It does have its funny moments but overall it is a real waste of time. I still can't understand how Amitabh and Shashi could attempt to steal something from a safe in the dark and then when they come out of the room (which was within a few seconds) it was already like 12pm with all the sunshine and lights
I do not blame the actors performance in this movie, I blame the director, the editor and the scriptwriter.
I also noticed Hema's make up and saris were very similar to the one she wore in The Burning Train in fact I am sure they used the same costume.- Was this review helpful to you?

2 and 2 does not quite add up
By illusions from GREATER MANCHESTER , 16 May 2005This film has a great cast, but sadly the performances do not match up.
Amitabh and Shashi are rival thiefs specialising in conning. Both hit upon a money getting scheme - kidnap the son of a billionaire for ransom, who is supposed to be well guarded and kidnap proof. The boy is sent to a secure bouarding school where one of the teachers is Hema Malini, while the principal's daughter is Parveen Babi. Both heroes enlist as teachers in the school and scheme ways to kidnap the child, only being constantly thwarted by each other. The rivalry sparks some comic situations but fail to lift the film to expected heights. While the heroines are mostly wasted in their predictable roles as the love interest.
Performances by Amitabh as the cool dude and Shashi as romantic thief are good, but Hema's performance was rather wooden.
See it for the comedy.- Was this review helpful to you?
