    Pure escapism

Cold, foggy and inhospitable it may have been outside - but I was inside, escaping to strikingly beautiful Cornwall, where the craggy coastline was being cleverly echoed in the personality of the newly arrived Doc Martin. Wonderfully full characters, and brilliantly subtle humour make this a joy to watch. I relished every moment. Looking forward to the second series with enthusiasm!

    Brilliant Cornish Drama/comedy

Doc Martin is all about the Cornish Village way of life. Its full of humour and mild drama. The characters are true to life Cornish pasties, and played brilliantly by the cast.

The series great and the scenery is fantastic.

    Martin Clunes is a knockout!!

Being a Cornishman in exile:-) I rate this one for being so very accurate.

Not to be missed this one:-)

    Gentle

A gentle warm comedy. Lovely to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon when the weather is bad. Beautiful Cornish scenario and some brilliant character driven acting. It's hard not to want to live in that little village.

    Super Story Line

One of the best series to appear on British Television - well worth owning, never mind renting

    A bit of a laugh

There are only 2 episodes on this disk, which is a shame. This disk makes the story come full circle, from when the Doc weas a child and explains why things turned out as they did. Watch out for the 6ft squirrel, very funny.

    Excellent Clunes as ever

Brilliant to catch up on the first series of Doc Martin and see Martin Clunes playing the Doctor so brilliantly. Even better watching on a cold winters evening and seeing the Cornish summer.
