Doesn't entertain as much, or capture the era as the original BBC series did.
Having not seen this version of Dr. Finlay when first shown on TV, I was hoping that being in colour and the choice of actors for the two main roles
would make it very watchable. But, oh dear! It is so dismally slow that after the first episode I couldn't take anymore. Some programmes should never be re-done, as the originals are real gems. I was only a teenager when the original series was shown and I never missed an episode! -
