Bionic Woman and Merlin star Michelle Ryan plays the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza who joins the Doctor on a bus-trip which takes a very unexpected detour into danger. British comedy star Lee Evans also joins the cast playing a character called Malcolm whose life becomes connected to the Doctor's under extraordinary circumstances and Noma Dumezweni returns as Captain Erisa Magambo - last seen helping Rose and Donna save the world in Turn Left. Planet of the Dead is the first of four Doctor Who Specials which will air in 2009.

same old rubbish

If you love everything about the show they you have already got the DVD. For others, its the some old RTD writing of giant plot holes (like the stupid bit where the guards are not looking at the gold cup in the museum by having their backs to it then the thief gains access to the cup by lowering herself down from a very well placed hole in the celling (where the top can just be removed). Then the thief leaves a lucky cat which attracts the guard the cup has been stolen. There is plenty more of badly written plot holes. Michelle Ryan is wasted on the role (hopefully she will appear in the new series in 2010) The rest of the cast are poorly written and the effects of the flying bus look terrible
