(26)Classic Doctor
By the_hound (9 reviews) , 14 Dec 2011Classic Doctor Who at its best. An intelligent story line, well acted and quite creepy. Even the cheap special effects just add to the charm. A particular favourite was characters freaking out over jumping over a gap of less than 1 foot!
Though it did seem to fall victim to extras over acting - (you could just imagine the director calling out, 'look shocked!'- Was this review helpful to you?

Before the Daleks could climb stairs!
By Valiant016 (52 reviews) from Lytham St. Annes , 08 Jun 2011A vintage Doctor Who, with overacting Tom Baker and screaming Elisabeth Sladen trying to stop the Daleks being created.
Surely this would change history in a major way?
Well never mind, an interesting start to the best Doctor Who baddies of all time.
Be honest (If you are old enough) who did not 'exterminate' his mates in the playground as a kid?
Basically, it was a bit long winded, the sets were poor and the dialogue a bit cheesy, but I loved it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not what I expected
By William Clements from Reading, UK , 23 Sep 2008I was really excited to rent this, remembering the days of K-9 and the latter Tom Baker days when I was in secondary school. But was really disappointed by it. I understand difficulties in special effects, but the acting... come on!! The story was okay, and was really the reason for the stars, nothing else!
I think it would be cool to write up a similar expedition for our scottish friend, going back before the daleks to try and stop the point where his race was destroyed... I know the rules of the time war mean it probably isn't possible, but perhaps in a nearby universe where our timelines are disconnected... I don't know. I guess had I really been satisfied I wouldn't be rambling about how to fix it!!- Was this review helpful to you?
