The best scene in this is the last scene between the Doctor and Sarah Jane as she leaves the doctor. The sentiment between them was understated in a typically English way. The story itself is very 70's doctor who with environmental overtones and a trans-gender baddy but it is good fun. If you have kids who like the modern Sarah Jane they will enjoy this although it will appear a bit slow compared to modern Doctor Who.

I think the scariest thing in this set of episodes was Sarah-Jane's outfit! Harsh...I'll admit the end to the penultimate episode was a bit of a shock that I wasn't expecting.

I actually enjoyed the story itself though, but it's by no means memorable, except perhaps Eldrad's 'true' form, which was very reminiscent of The Thing from Fantastic Four.

After watching the nuWho episode of 'School Reunion' where Sarah-Jane complains that the Doctor just left her, I don't know why she complains, because she wanted to be taken home!

Inspite of dated effects, this is still a good and gripping series. I enjoy watching all these old series with my 10 year old son who also sees through the cheap effects but nevertheless enjoys the story.

    It good clean fun.

  • Dr Who at Oldbury Power Station

Wow, what a story. Its all so Dr Who! It was filmed near where I live, And at a time when the nuclear power station is about to close, quite pertinent. But is it? It looks exactly the same right now and is applying to continue its nuclear stuff. It's certainly a landmark on the banks of the River Severn.
