Most helpful review
Professionally restored
By a customer from Birmingham, UK , 10 Nov 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
The episodes on the two disks are so much cleaner and brighter than the VHS edition, and the use of Flash animated episodes to replace the two missing pieces in the story enables a smooth transistion from episode to episode. The extras are varied too. The story plot flows well, and the casting of Kevin Stoney as the villain Tobias Vaughn is inspired. If you enjoyed the Cybermen episodes in the new series you will like this story, even if there is stock footage of old missiles and even of a V2 supposed to be a Russian rocket!- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)A very menacing baddie
By a customer from worcester , 22 Mar 2011Despite being an 8-parter this story never drags. Shame about the 2 missing episodes but the animations are better than nothing. The acting honours go to the late Kevin Stoney who is absolutely outstanding as the baddie; in fact he is far more menacing than the Cybermen and it's a pity he never made it as a film actor. He would have been a superb Bond villain.- Was this review helpful to you?

Animated episodes are great but...
By KevFish (11 reviews) from Rhyl , 10 Mar 2010Thought the animated episodes are very good, but they are a little different and make watching the story a little different than a usual story.
They dont take away from an excellent story from this era though.
