    A Viking helmet ?

He comes from the planet Gallifrey, belonging to the race known as 'Time Lords'. He, a friendly, mysterious time-space travelling alien who calls himself 'the Doctor'. He journeys through time-space in a craft called the TARDIS (an acronym that stands for 'Time And Relative Dimension In Space'). In his TARDIS, the Doctor can travel anywhere - he can move through space, forward in time, backward in time, sideways and throughout our current time and in and out of parallel universes.

In his travels, the Doctor (David Tennant) and his travelling companion Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) have encountered many alien species - some friendly and some very, very nasty ones.

You are in for the trip of your lifetime.

    Rise Of The Cybermen:

The TARDIS is trapped on a parallel Earth.

The planet is under threat from the surgically augmented Cyberman. Second only to the Daleks, this race of emotionless creatures (with origins on Earth) is unforgiving.

    The Age Of Steel:

Present Day but on an 'alternate' Earth.

The planet is under threat from the surgically augmented Cyberman. Second only to the Daleks, this race of emotionless creatures (with origins on Earth) is unforgiving.

    The Idiots Lantern:

    It’s 1953.

The Coronation year of HM Queen Elizabeth II, and the people of Great Britain huddle round their television sets to witness the great event. But behind the celebrations there are rumours of monsters on the streets, and the tormented Mr Magpie is hiding a strange and alien secret.

    A Brilliant DVD

Any Doctor Who fan should defiantly rent this for 2 reasons.

Reason 1 is that the superb acting that it displays is amazing. David Tenant (the doctor) shows true talent in this exciting BBC Drama series. Billie Piper is also brilliant and shows emotion and true talent in the role of Rose Tyler.

Reason 2 is that the show is all round exciting and very good.

These episodes feature some of the Doctor and Rose's best and most exciting adventures so far. The episodes are The Rise of the Cybermen, The Age of Steel and the Idiots Lantern.

    Great

Don't make the mistake that I made. I judged this before I watched it and found out it was fantastic. Chris Eccleston was good David Tennant is even better. It has no equal in recent years on BBC TV.

    the Cybermen are back!

A great two-episode arc involving the Cybermen coming to power in a parallel universe London. I had concerns that Tennant would not be able to maintain the high standards set by his predecessor, but his first season is terrific!

    Hurrah for the Cybermen!

An excellent couple of episodes - if only the founder of the Cybermen didn't remind me too closely of Davros!

    Consistently brilliant

And so it continues - the successful re-incarnation of Dr Who. Faultless performances, well scripted storylines and ridiculously addictive. Well worth many repeated viewings and a must-have for your collection

    David Tennant is great.

I thought nobody could be better than Jon Pertwee but I think David Tennant is the best since Jon. It's great because me and my daughter both enjoy watching Doctor Who. I think the storylines are great and have changed to fit with the times. I don't think there are any episodes that I could say were bad. So watch them all.

Great, as ever; David Tennant really is one of the great Dr Who's and the production values and scripts are fab these days.
