    It will have you blubbing...

The last episode of season 2- and what a climax. I won't give it away but the ending had everyone in our house (me, the wife and two kids) blubbing our eyes out. As with the other episodes in the 'new Doctor Who', the BBC have made a slick, well produced adventure suitable for all ages, winning back that cruical 'saturday night' slot. And it's made in Wales by BBC Wales (yippee)

The final episode ties up some loose ends and help to prepare for the Xmas episode and the forthcoming season 3. Needless to say we probably have not seen the last of the Daleks or Cybermen....

    Superb Finale

What can be said? The second series goes out with a bang... Daleks vs Cyberman - what more could anyone want!!

And Rose's departure - brilliant performance from Billie Piper (again). The Chemistry between her and the Doctor was electric. Well worth multiple viewings!

    There'll be tears before bedtime...

... and for a lot longer. I finished watching the whole disc the other evening, and just had to put the two-parter on again. And I cried all over again. Brilliant drama, with all the characters really shining - and that's before they're turned into Cybermen. Millions of Daleks, and proof the Master is back for series 3. Essential stuff for all Whovians.

    Fitting end to the series

The last two episodes provide a suitable climax to the end of the series, and the seperation of Rose from the Doctor is a genuine tragic moment.

    Very entertaining

It's such a pity Billie Piper is leaving the series, as she really has added more dimensions to Dr Who than even the Tardis can manage. She certainly pulls out all the acting stops in her last story on this DVD.

Dr Who is certainly the best science fiction idea ever, and although I'm sure somewhere in the history, the Doctor did define a maximum number of regenerations, which he might already have exceeded, I'm sure we can all have an attack of selective amnesia about that and hope he goes on for ever.

    Fantastic but a tearjerker

Marvellous stuff as ever from David Tennant and the end of the last episode is a real choker.
