A suitably stunning climax, and probably the most awesomely epic Doctor Who ever...If you have hairs on the back of your neck, prepare them to stand erect
Who'd've thought it? After years in the wilderness what had become a tired, underfunded and underwatched series could be turned around so successfully. Using the Joss Whedon template of human stories with a fantasy background, these are three fine episodes from the character driven Boom Town to the action climax of Parting of the Ways. The perfect end to a high quality series for the family audience nobody thought existed any more. Don't rent it - buy it! (though wait for the full series box set if you want extras)
I only watched the last two episodes on this DVD because I want to see the conclusion to this series and the regeneration. I did enjoy these episodes - I thought the concept was very clever - the Doctor in Big Brother - that'd make me watch it! I still find christopher eccleston uncharasmatic but I thoroughly enjoyed the regeneration and loved the 'new teeth' line! Great ending to the series.
