Quite brilliant! A must watch!

Absolutely marvellous! My 8 year old son likes to watch Dr Who and I have to say that the 'Waters of Mars' is not suitable for the younger ones. Scary bits aside, it is a wonderful exploration into the Doctors continuing inner battle with himself, concerning the power that he wields and how he should use it.
As for 'End of Time', I will let my boy watch it ...in fact I'll enjoy sitting down with him to watch it again. It is a marvellous finale to the whole Russell T Davies / David Tennant (Christopher Eccleston) era. The story is brilliant. The acting is brilliant. The music is brilliant. ...and everything is tied up neatly at the end. It felt like a proper goodbye.
I was genuinely saddened at the passing of Tennant. Dr Who has always been a mixture of suspense, action, romance and silliness. But Tennant has brought more humanity to the Doctor and the series was all the better for it. Stephen Moffatt / Matt Smith are going to have to be good to follow this.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Dr.Who - The Waters of Mars - My Review
By DaddyTank (206 reviews) from Ulan Bator , 03 Sep 2012Great monsters, nice bathos in the plot and pretty epic. This is what they should be aiming at if they're going to keep making the specials.- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Amazing
By Chris91 (3 reviews) , 12 Aug 2012Best episodes Dr who has given us to date. best story lines, before the new series went down hill. A must watch for anyone, let alone Dr who fans. Recomend 100% and give 10 stars if I could.- Was this review helpful to you?

Well....I cried.

A brilliant example of what makes the nation and most of the world love Doctor Who.
Ten's swansong is magnificent. Well written, evenly paced, and ties up all the loose ends.
As a Dr. Who fan, watching this was like attending the funeral of a good friend as you genuinely get that emotion especially during the end of time time 1 and 2.
Without revealing spoilers, even if you don't know 'The Doctor', Tennant's final scenes will move you to tears as it is impossible to deny the talent of both the actor, the director, the writer and the musical director.
Worth a second, third, fourth and fifth watch.- Was this review helpful to you?
