I can't watch this film without intense feelings of nostalgia - it was the first film I ever saw as a child at the cinema (which shows how old I am!). The storyline is based on the first Dalek story to appear on TV, but is much faster paced and with more action in order to make it attractive to families. Although the sfx are very dated they hold up quite well forty years on. I believe that when it was made the film cost ?120,000 - what could you make for that these days?

Has anyone noticed how much Susie looks like young Clara Oswald in The Bells of Saint John? This is a really good episode and really takes you back in time with the filming and seeing how much it looks different to the modern day T. V, 5/5 star.

The quality of the acting is superb! I greatly admire all of the cast and thank Roy Castle for his work to combat Lung Cancer. I hope Roy rests in peace. This film captures the 1960s atmosphere so well and will forever be a testament to the talent of the cast. I am sure that all who watch this film will enjoy it.

I love Dr Who. Normally. I love Peter Cushing. Normally. But from the story line to the effects to... well, everything, this is just terrible. It says Christopher Lee is in it, I couldn't even watch it long enough to see him.

A different take on the Doctor Who story, an elder human inventing a time machine and ending up on a distant planet where the Daleks live. There's some slapstick similar to a Carry on Film but more intense.

Although watchable it is certainly worth missing.
