If its edge of your seat, heart-pounding horror you're after then look no further. This is where the British show the Americans what this genre is all about.
A squad of six on a training exercise against a special operations unit stumble across a camp full of bloody human remains of what appears to be the special ops team. What on earth could've done this ? Night falls, there's a full moon and the radio is out. The squad settle in for the night on full alert, when the camp is attacked. Headlights approach from the distance, have they been saved ?
It's not as gory as some Japanese stuff, but it oozes plot, top quality acting and you'll be glued to it from start to finish.

American Warewolf meets Southern Comfort with a dollop of British Sarcastic humour! Torn between good and very good on this one. The camera shots and styles at the start were very confusing. The director seemed to want to run with Evil Dead flying through the woods style, Blair Witch "i'm holding a digicamera" style and hollywood panorama. It eventually ( thankfully!) picks one and follows the platoon trying to save themselves from a pack of extremely tall warewolves.. the Harlem Globetrotters of the warewolf family! Worth watching just for the line when a warewolf ia about to eat a soldier " i hope i give you the sh*ts!" Great to see good british acting and fine british humour.
