Dog Soldiers

Something evil lurks in the wilds of Scotland, and this unfortunate troop of soldiers are about to stumble upon it. A routine exercise takes an unexpected turn when the troop discovers ravaged corpses out in the woods. With dusk quickly turning to night, and an ominous full moon lighting up the sky, the men (including Sean Pertwee and Kevin McKidd) decide to hide out in an abandoned farmhouse. With their supplies and morale both in short supply, the soldiers become trapped in the house by a pack of hungry werewolves who seem hellbent on enjoying the men for dinner. Can anything stop these relentless lycanthropes

    Simply awesome

If its edge of your seat, heart-pounding horror you're after then look no further. This is where the British show the Americans what this genre is all about.

A squad of six on a training exercise against a special operations unit stumble across a camp full of bloody human remains of what appears to be the special ops team. What on earth could've done this ? Night falls, there's a full moon and the radio is out. The squad settle in for the night on full alert, when the camp is attacked. Headlights approach from the distance, have they been saved ?

It's not as gory as some Japanese stuff, but it oozes plot, top quality acting and you'll be glued to it from start to finish.

Fun but derivative horror film, with so many ideas beg, borrowed and stolen from other films - Alien, An American Warewolf in London, Evil Dead, Assault on Precinct 13 to name just a few. There obviously wasn't much budget for special effects or gore, but the home-made warewolf suits aren't too bad, and the director has the sense to limit their time on screen. I thought the last 20 minutes were best, as the last few survivors fight to make it to dawn. Not very scary, but laced with a good sense of humour and decent acting - probably a good choice for a Frioday or Saturday night, after a trip down to the pub. Definitely better than the overrated & hugely disappointing "28 Days Later".
