Paul Bettany has never watched his hit film Dogville - because his time on set was a "peculiarly unsatisfying experience". The actor played a writer in Lars von Trier's 2003 drama, alongside a star-studded cast including Nicole Kidman and Lauren Bacall. But Wimbledon star Bettany did not enjoy his time making the movie - and as a result he's never seen the final cut. Sacha Baron Cohen is at it again. Last time the merry prankster unleashed a movie Borat seemed to upset just about every group imaginable, from southern rednecks to born again Christians, Jews, Muslims, gays, women, and most of all Kazakhs… While many gays are hip to Baron-Cohen’s subversive tactics, there’s still a good deal of suspicion at the prospect of Bruno, his allegedly inflammatory satire of a homosexual Austrian fashionista… and not just from Eminem fans. A new age is dawning. Seven years ago Gladiator used CGI to paint in crowds and armies and even resurrect actor Oliver Reed after he died during the shoot. But Gladiator looks like an artifact from a bygone age beside 300. Ridley Scott dragged his crew to Italy, Malta, Morocco and Britain. Zack Snyder recreated Sparta and the battle of Thermoplyae - when 300 Spartans held off an invasion force of more than 100,000 Persians - without leaving his virtual studio in Montreal.
