It's a great title, and there's no denying that the ghetto drama genre is ripe for send-up. However, the fact that this didn't even make it to video in Britain is an indication of how dire it is. The spoofing is lazy, and the plotting ramshackle and tasteless. Not even the presence of what appears to be the entire Wayans family (Marlon, Shawn, Keenen Ivory and Craig) can save this sorry mess. Following the release of Scary Movie, it's good to see how awful that similarly themed blockbuster could have been.
Broad-humoured satire that sends up socially conscious movies of black experience; the jokes are usually coarse and sometimes funny.
This film is truly funny, in my opinion it's easily up there with the best spoof films made. A must watch for comedy fans.
These chaps are funny in white chicks, but this is dreadfull. its not funny when people fall over in mid coversation no more, or an old lady smacks someone round the headside with her bag.
Its got its funny moments but you have to be a real fan of Boys N da Hood and such to get it--my girl is white upper class and didnt have a clue.
Just about watchable
