One of the best
By Raheem Ahmed from Southampton, England , 12 Jul 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Super movie. Amitabh pulls of the dual role brilliantly. One twist after the other, this will have you guessing right the way through. Another all star cast & great acting talent. Rent it now.- Was this review helpful to you?

(15)Loved every minute
By Kaydee (21 reviews) , 16 Oct 2012Great film! A bit slapstick but that was the way they used to make films in the 70th. A little long and a few too many punch-ups, which are nowadays soo unbelivable but all in all I really loved the film and the music. Amitabh is great!- Was this review helpful to you?

Classic Bollywood
By Mrcleeds (49 reviews) from Leeds , 08 Jan 2011This was a classic Bollywood and how underated are the brilliant artists in this magnificent industry. Unlike western films thank goodness. They invariably offer something that you can sit relatively comfortably with the whole family.
Amitab was brilliant in his dual role. I have two criticisms. As the film approached its climax one wondered if it would ever end as it just seemed to go on and on. The main criticism is the quality was lousy. I mean ithe copy used to put on to a DVD was so unclean with its age lines and hairs. Come on, its 33 not 83.
Otherwise I would recommend it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Classic 70's
By a customer from Bath, England , 08 Feb 2010If you are like me a grew up in the 70's this is a movie you need to watch. A classic that needs a re-release. The story is good, the acting is fine but the flares are brilliant.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Godfather and his twin
By salmanfan (143 reviews) from London , 15 Nov 2009This was very funny but an eyeopener. Amitabah is a great actor . He is a bad Godfather (!!!!) not really, and then a very amiable Indian eating chewing ghat with eye liner . Peasant actor who looks just like the original Godfather. Not very well done (script and directing and production very amateurish)but saved by the main actor.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dual Excellence
By a customer from Leeds , 16 Oct 2009One of the best of it's time with Mr B showing his ability to change charactars through the fantastic acting that has made him the legend he deserves to be. Fantastic dialogues. Loved the songs, Helen's Yeh Mera Dil Yaar Ka Diwana is a fantastic example of the golden age of Bollywood that is distinctly lacking these days, no matter how much they try and how much skin they show, none of the current actresses can match up to a Helen performance.- Was this review helpful to you?
