[Highly rated reviewer]Perfectly executed, smart editing and a wonderful change from the original. if you're going to watch it with the midset of how it compares to Amitabh Bachchan's Don you'll probably hate the changes to the script. But think of it as a fresh movie and you'll love it

You Khan't capture DonBy blackpolekev (247 reviews) from blackpole , 12 Nov 2012This is a remake of a 1978 film of the same name and it's fitting that Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan should take on the role previously played by another Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan [for those of you not familiar with Bollywood films Amitabh Bachchan was the actor legend mentioned, but not seen, in Slumdog Millionaire]. Khan stars in a dual role as baddie Don and goodie (but dim witted) Vijay. The denouement is easily guessed, despite some red herrings along the way, and there's enough excitement and action to fill well over 3 hours (including intermission). As regards Don's catchphrase: 'You can't capture Don' - is he wrong or is he right?
Format: Cinema - 35mm film
Audio: Dolby Digital
Let DownBy JPG2007 (84 reviews) , 05 Dec 2011I wanted to like this - but I found the DVD had loads of adverts that I could not FFWD through and the disc was pretty damaged too which did not help. I had to watch a chapter at a time though which was frustrating as I kept having to go back to the menu. Miss Chopra is exceedingly beautiful though. I'm suprised Mr Khan has not made a success in Hollywood.

SuprisingBy dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 08 Feb 2010I haven't seen the older version which I think is a good thing cause I could watch it without making comparisons. I thought it was a genius plot, not overly thought provoking but a really good action film. The ending was fantastic, I didn't see it coming which made it all the more brilliant for me when it did happen. Not my usual sort of film but I really enjoyed it.
DusBy Carramea (4 reviews) from Blackpool , 07 Jan 2010A fantastic Bollywood adventure that mixes Mission Impossible with 24 and CSI to fight against corruption in high places. All the actors were fantastic, each playing their role to perfection. Even if you are not 'into Bollywood' rent this film, its a thrill to watch.
