It's billed as an erotic thriller, but the classy cast and an enjoyably cynical script lift this straight-to-video offering way above the average. Patrick Bergin is the small-town video dealer with a Wall Street past who falls for beautiful femme fatale Kelly Preston, only to find himself caught up in murder and subterfuge. The leads generate a fair bit of steam in the bedroom and there are good performances from Jennifer Tilly and Kevin Tighe, while Michael Keusch's capable direction more than makes up for the odd credibility gaps in the plotting.

    Reasonable plodder

If you are into late 80s drug culture, this is the one for you. Otherwise it's a bit slow going with some wooden performances, my curiosity did get the better of me and I stuck it out to the bitter end.
