Oscar-winning Moonstruck screenwriter John Patrick Shanley has spoken out about the surprise of finding himself at the centre of a £3.1 million sex act lawsuit filed by an ex-lover. Actress Amanda Jencsik, 26, claims the 61 year old forced her to engage in violent sexual acts, restricting her breathing and allegedly asking Jencsik if she felt as though she was being raped during intercourse. Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis is glad the awards season is drawing to a close - as the pressure to scoop gold leaves her struggling on movie sets. The screen star was shortlisted for Best Supporting Actress at the 2009 Academy Awards for her role in Doubt, and narrowly missed out on the Best Actress Oscar at last month's ceremony (Feb12) for her lead role in The Help. Viola Davis made up a lie about Tom Cruise stepping on the designer dress she wore to the 2009 Academy Awards in a bid to boost bids for the item in an online auction.
