    Heir to Hicks?

not quite up to the standard of the great man (who is?) but a very funny routine encompassing similar themes and proccupations: freedom, censorship, sex, drink and drugs. The production values aren't that high but as the comedian says himself the club this is shot in is a 'basement fire hazard' so the monochromatic, grainy quality is perhaps inkeeping. Much of the time you don't know whether to laugh or gasp; make no mistake if you are easily offended this is not for you, on the other hand if you like your comedy angry, outrageous and challenging then this is definately for you

    hicks heir hey? not quite

ok lets not get ahead of ourselves and say he can give hicks a run for his money but the guy is very funny. it makes a refreshing change to see comedy presented in a no holds barred fashion once again as he rips into the obserdity of modern life and aspects of our society that drive us crazy but cant find a voice to express. honesty always provides the biggest laughs and this has it in spades, go watch it now.

    no bill hicks

DO NOT compare this man to bill hicks, the only thing they have in common is that they are both angry. or maybe doug is only pseudo angry! some great little gags but on the whole nothing too special.
