Interesting and well acted, but nothing special

A young girl goes away to camp hoping to give her parents some space to sort their problems out. There, she befriends a rather strange girl. She convinces her new friend to go swimming at night with her, leading to a terrible accident. She returns home, haunted by the accident and her parents' continued disagreements. When her mother moves away, a new neighbour moves in, manipulating her way into the family. But, of course, this neighbour isn't what she seems.
This film is your typical made for TV drama. Quite well acted, interesting plot, very obvious plot 'twists' and plenty of drama. It's nothing fantastic and although it tries to venture into the thriller genre at some points, it never really manages to creep you out the way it could do. However, if the plot interests you, the movie will. It offers no more and no less than it says on the box. Overall an enjoyable watch when you have nothing better to do.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)poor transfer
By a customer from England , 30 Jun 2006The film was ok as a sort of thriller it lost its way at times but it whiled away over an hour. I was disappointed by the dvd transfer though, apart from being 4.3 it was blotchy and poor. The print couldn't have been that bad could it? It was more like a video quality. Enjoyed the film but the DVD could have been produced better- Was this review helpful to you?

Psychological film
By a customer from Huntingdon, CAMBS. UK , 26 Jan 2005This film is about a family's relationships between themselves and a troubled female neighbour. It is quite well done but some aspects are so unbelievable it spoils the credibility of the film. Something to watch!- Was this review helpful to you?
