A major disappoinementBy RichC (5 reviews) from London , 14 Apr 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]Ok being a Dragonball fan myself I've been waiting for a live action movie for years, and now that it's finally here I wish they didn't bother, there are so many plot holes(the film is 70 minutes so it doesn't cover them or explain anything) has missing vital characters, the CGI energy attacks look more like a Gas rather than a solid (which they should be) the acting is below average all you have to do is watch the trailer to see this (See when Goku says 'Cool') the characters have no development through the entire film and are unbelievable, there are only 2 or 3 second moments that you could see in Dragonball but the rest of this film feels nothing like it.
Theres no reason HollyWood can make a sequel as this is so bad so will the rest. T'would have been better if it was just an animated movie, like the Anime.

A Perfect Evolution!By Jordan (301 reviews) from London , 08 Feb 2010What a great movie this was!
If you love fantasy/adventure movies, then this should be placed on one of your top lists!
I have never really been a fan of the original Dragonball Evolution, nor do I even know any of the characters, but after watching the trailer I decided to give the movie a watch since I'm a fan of fantasy/adventure movies.
A great movie from start to finish, with a mix of wonderful characters that perform exceptionally well in terms of acting and the chemistry and bondship between them.
Well worth watching! And almost forgot to mention, this is one movie that can be watched again and again. One for all the family.
Dragon what? Yep that's right.By CaptainNuts (7 reviews) from Huntingdon, England , 20 Jan 2010God, I've heard there gonna make a second film. How did they make enough money on the first?
All I can assume is that there are more 6-12 year old boys out there in the world who convinced their parents to take them to see this. The film is well made but the story, acting and whole feel of this film is Meh! Yep Meh!
hmmm mix feelingBy zeph23 (3 reviews) from London , 18 Jan 2010`m a fan of dragon ball and dbz, grew up with the manga. the film is not for dbz fan, good effects but it could have been better.
Dragonball EvolutionBy lulu411 (1 review) from Bromley , 12 Jan 2010If you have seen the cartoon you can't watch this, because it is not the same.
not for fans of dragonballBy MiaB (3 reviews) from London , 08 Jan 2010if your a fan of the anime series or the original manga your going to be underwhelmed by this american take on the original story. Unfortunatly the producer and director tried to make the film appealing to everybody and ended up hitting no one at all. The acting was below standard and the effects were a little sketchy in places.
The story is a modern ish version of the original dragon ball saga however it feels as though it has been watered down and diluted to make it a little more digestable to the masses. If you want a film thats pretty much chewing gum for the eye balls then this is your flick.
one more thing....why was goku cast as an american when 90% of the other actors were oriental.
