The greatest warriors from the DBZ movies and Dragon Ball GT have assembled for the tournament of champions. Control them all with the Rakurai Fighting system for explosive combat: focus your ferocity and one by one, your opponents will fall. Enter the Dragon Universe and become one with the characters as you explore the world, build skills, fight legendary battles and try to find the elusive Dragon Balls. Each character has unique signature abilities and special attacks, and game modes include Duelling, Tournament and Training. Select a character and fly around the earth to seek Dragon Balls so that you may be granted your wish. As your journey unfolds, you will travel to distant planets, unlock skills, encounter fierce warriors, and gain incredible strength. You can choose from a selection of six warriors at the outset, and you will unlock more as you battle successfully. story Events are marked on the map with a red circle. Land on these and see what happens, and there are points of interest all over the map that are not marked. You will see a scroll appear on screen when you find something useful or interesting. You may find money, items or even skills, so it's wise to search everywhere. If you win a battle, you earn experience points, your character will level up, and you can spend any accumulated Z-Points to improve Health, Attacks, Guards and other essential attributes. Budokai 3 is the most in-depth DBZ offering yet, with more features than you can shake a stick at - compared to the previous two anyway. If you're a fan of this 'cultiest' of the cult cartoons, and like a bit of complex beat 'em up action, then you'll find lots to love in Budokai 3.

Thougherly addictive game couldnt put it down, little advice before going into dragon universe do the training it helps alot!

Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 - Street Fighter's Cool Cousin

This game is intense. It's fighting is amazing, the gameplay is addictive and it has that amazing 'Unlock everything' feature, were you do have to unlock, basically, everything.

You start with only the basic characters, not even with the basic attacks, and you have to play each one, to unlock more characters and abilities, and get money from Dragon Universe and the World Tournament to buy more abilities, attacks and a character or two. So many characters, so many fighting styles, so many arenas, such addictive playing.

I was deeply saddened when I learnt I had this game rented for too long and had to return it.
