Successful architect James Spader meets the woman of his dreams, Twin Peaks star Mädchen Amick, and after a whirlwind romance they get married. But slowly (very slowly!) he begins to wonder about her real motives in director Nicholas Kazan's low-key suspense thriller. While Kazan has fun setting up the stock situations and spinning plot threads off into some surprising directions, the lethargically paced drama comes off as part Suspicion and part Body Heat, but without the stylish flair of either. Spader and Amick do their best with the half-baked material, but it's only mildly interesting at best, despite the neat twist ending.
