By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
We can't seem to get enough of Ryan Gosling and his latest offering, Drive, could be one of the best films of the year...

I'll keep this short.
I missed this at the cinema and am sick to my stomach that I did. possibly my favorite film of last year. Forget the reviews, just see the movie.
But to add a little more detail. There are a few heavy scenes, they are short and sweet and leave you gasping for breath. The plot is slow, heavy and addictive. The soundtrack is brilliant. It is directed by a european and......Ryan Gosling plays what could only be described and a crossbreed of zen master and Jedi.
This is a unique film in a time where most main stream stuff is done to death and pretty much mindless eye candy which leaves you feeling nothing.
Stop reading this review and rent the damm thing.
P. S Ryan Gosling is tomorrows De Niro. Just watch a few of his films and you will understand why.
If you are a genuine film lover you will love this, if your favourite film is either transformers 2 or pirates of the something something (I forget now), leave this off of your rental list.- Was this review helpful to you?

Stylish and well composed romantic story for the boys.
By wasplee (5 reviews) from Plymouth , 29 Aug 2012Clean, well composed film that gradually builds to a surprising climax using under-played, yet powerful acting and strong stylish visuals. It seems simple, yet it tells the story perfectly and it will continue to play in your mind.- Was this review helpful to you?

Was he a terminator?
By Screenboy (1 review) , 29 Aug 2012Uninvolving and downright nasty. Was Ryan Gosling's character a terminator, ie zero personality,cold-blooded killer and seemingly indestructible?
I was surprised the film was adapted from a book as opposed to a video game.
I did enjoy the night shots of LA.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dullzzzzzz .....
By Jelleetots69 (9 reviews) from Sheffield , 25 Aug 2012Well the spiel for this film makes it sound super exciting. It's not - it's dead boring.
At least I assume the rest of it is - I could only manage the first 20 minutes before turning it off and putting the disk straight back into the post box.
It seems horribly dated, is punctuated by mind-numbingly tedious pauses and, opening sequence aside, doesn't contain any exciting car chases (at least none in the bit I saw).
Avoid, unless you have insomnia and counting sheep doesn't help. This just might.- Was this review helpful to you?
