You go for years without seeing a movie about skydiving and then suddenly, like buses, two of them come along at the same time — this and the Charlie Sheen vehicle Terminal Velocity. This is the pick of the pair: an exhilarating ride directed by action specialist John Badham with his usual flair and eye for spectacular set pieces. Wesley Snipes exudes charisma as the US marshal who sets out to hunt down the parachuting crooks whose airborne antics cost Snipes's brother his life. Gary Busey delivers another entertainingly villainous performance, while Yancy Butler is equally good as Snipes's reluctant partner.

    DROP ZONE.

I think Wesley Snipes is a great actor, combining humour and action well, and he doesn't disappoint in this movie. Here he plays Federal Marshall Pete Nessip who loses his partner and the prisoner they were escorting during the course of a 747 hijack. Everyone is tricked into believing that the hijackers were all killed when the plane is ruptured by an explosion. But Snipes (Nessip) suspects otherwise and attempts to track down his brother's killers. This film involves high speed chases through the sky, crash landings, broken bones, and of course, plenty of fighting action.

    Basic film, lacking in story

A typical Wesley Snipes film - a fair amount of action but no real storyline. Part of this film seemed familiar, especially if you have seen Boiling Point. Snipes plays a DEA agent out for revenge following the death of his brother and fellow agent. Queue some ridiculous skydiving scenes.

    Thought it was cool

I saw it a while ago on TV so decided to watch it again. It was good and action packed and worth an evening in on the sofa. I'd buy this film.

    Ok for Sky Diving Fans

Ok to watch film but not one of Snipe's best.

Seemed to be filmed as a sky diving advert and also had the feel of being a TV movie.
