In my opinion this is Jackie's greatest work. Stunning choreography of exceptionally well executed fights, superb direction, realistic settings, and better than average acting.

This is not the first kung fu film I ever saw, but it is the one that began my obsession with old kung fu movies. The drunken boxing on show here is stunningly done and truly not to be missed.

If you are a fan of Chinese kung fu films then you really have no excuse for not seeing this. If you are a fan of Jackie Chan's modern work in America then I highly recommend you take a look back at the kind of true martial arts movies that launched his career in his native China, beginning with this one.
