LOVEFiLM Review Dukes of Hazzard

  • 1 stars out of 5

    By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM

The Dukes of Hazzard are back, making the transition from little to big screen. The cousins, Bo and Luke (Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville) are joined in their japes by the beautiful Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson).

  • Entertaining but predictable

What would you expect from a film with Sean William Scott & Jonny Knoxville, a few obvious jokes, some car chases and a little action. It's worth watching and I'd probably watch it again, but the storyline was predictable and it's exactly what you'd expect.

  • If you liked the TV show, forget this

It was nice to see the General Lee back in action. It seems as though this takes place before the TV series starts, as it explains why the good ol' boys have to get in and out through the windows.

Compared with the TV series this was just dull in my opinion.

I didn't like the portrayal of Boss Hogg, Rosco or Cooter.

Bo and Luke were OK, but not as good as the proper ones.

Couldn't even be bothered to watch to the end. That's an hour of my life I'll never get back. Drivel.

  • Very average, rather boring

Mildly funny is as complimentary as I can be about this film. The plot is unexciting, the action is average and the comedy is average. Highlights include inexplicably-exploding flaming arrows and Burt Reynold's character.
