    Vera Drake, this ain't

If Oil of Olay and vitamins aren't keeping the aging process at bay, Aunt Mei has a culinary answer to those crows feet, one that is not for those of a sensitve disposition. The secret ingrediant is revealed very early, but the horror of what 60 something Auntie (played by a 33 year old Ling Bai) is doing builds throughout the film, and client Mrs Li goes even further to regain her youth. Not one for those who have weak stomach; I agree with other reiewers that this is more of a drama than a horror film and I have to correct the reviewer who said there was no sexual content, in the version I saw Mr Li was getting plenty of action. Worth a watch for Christopher Doyles cinematography and strong performances from the two lead actresses.

    Strange but very watchable

I knew nothing about this film & so was rather shocked but had to say I rather enjoyed it. Not the Hong Kong we usually see so it was really interesting to see its seedier side and the actors were excellent.
