Not too bad, sadly it arrived at my house the week before the new Elder Scrolls came out, so I didnt get a lot of time with it. Due to the fact I didnt play it much I cant give a full 100% opinion but what I did play, I quite enjoyed, this game is an old-school Dungeon Crawler, so if you like things like Diablo or Torchlight give it a rent.

Great game just make sure you do the side quests on the way to keep your lvl high as possible because some boss battles can be hard :) more fun in coop.

Graphics are OK at best there is a seam that runs down the centre of the Archon character. Story wise quite bland and ending was a bit lame as you could see it coming. mob difficulty has its ridiculous change between taking loads of damage and not dying to getting pretty much one hit killed. To counter this you just have to dodge ALL THE TIME!!

Dungeon Siege 3 is at heart an almost generic hack and slash action RPG, yet it manages to get many things just right in my opinion. To name a few that this game excels at are things like:

    * Varying quality of equipment with a multitude of stats and effects,

    * Beautiful areas that have a good paced change of location, keeping you from returning to the same old places,

    * Some genuine moments of humour that has been crafted into the dialogue skilfully, (On this note I’d like to highlight the lines of your AI partner and the inhabitants of Stonebridge Town)

    * Great quality voice acting, there are times it falls a little below the bar, but overall it’s very well done,

    * One of the best ending sequences I’ve seen for a long time, it really feels as time and care was really put into it as it finished, with the game going back to all the major choices made throughout the game and the ramifications that they made.

With the above examples given, there are some sort comings I’d like to address - The game suffers from somewhat a slow start, which may put some people off, it took a little too long for it to get into the correct pacing and a steady flow.

The in game camera is utterly abysmal, it’s unresponsive and had to be placed on its highest sensitivity setting to get it to move with any sense of urgency and did not like corner or hallways; zooming in to a stupidly close range giving you no view of your surroundings.

Controlling your character was sometimes a little floaty and unpredictable; to make an example the defensive/healing moves are mapped to a combination on the Dodge/Block Button (LT) and one of Ability buttons (X, Y or B). Trying to perform one of these while being in combat is a bit finicky as you have to be standing still, this means that attempting to heal breaks the flow of combat by either having to press it repeatedly while running to safety or to hope that the game responds to your presses timely before the swarm descends upon you.

To wrap up this is a good game, which I do feel I’ve enjoyed. It has a lot going for it in terms of replayability options, either as a new character or the same with different skill/equipment setups. I was a little disappointed to see it was capable of online multiplayer options but lacked local co-op features but will keep you busy for a little while. I’d happily recommend this to a friend or stranger; give it a go!

It is completely boring and different compared the the old games. I started playing this game for about 15 minutes then turned it off, got Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna working on my Windows 7 and started smashing that like the old days.

Don't even bother with DS3 cant express how bad it is

  • Quite possibly the worst Xbox game I've played

Talk to someone (generally drags on for ages), walk for... ages, fight a few people along the way by repeatedly bashing the same buttons, then arrive at location where you fight someone with a bit of extra health (therefore a boss) by repeatedly bashing the same buttons. Do all that, repeat a few hundred times and you have what is probably the worst Xbox game ever made (and I'm including the God awful Prince Of Persia in that list).

There's absolutely nothing to like about this game. It's essentially an old SNES game with PS1 graphics. I don't know what anyone could actually find likeable about it at all.

The levelling system is incredibly boring, and by the time you've gone up a few you've lost interest in it completely. There is so many treasure chests, I actually stopped looking for them, such is the abundance. The loot you get from said treasure chests is always weapons and armour since the makers couldn't be bothered adding any other items to the game, and the weapons themselves never really seem to make much of a difference.

Because the only items in existence are weapons, money is irrelevant. You never feel the need to quest for some because you have an inventory full of weapons you can sell to the vendor to buy... another weapon!

To conclude, you'd be better off playing the free games on Facebook - the creators have put more effort in, and they're much more enjoyable. Either that, or go and buy Elder Scrolls instead and see how an RPG should be done.
