Very Interesting...
By a customer from London , 13 Mar 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
This programme is very interesting. It's not very long at about 29 minutes, but probably the right length for a focused look at one of Dürer's most iconic images. It includes some good observations by art critics and even David Attenborough makes an appearance and gives his expert opinion on the work. It goes into further detail on the woodblock printing process, which is very informative, and has a decent look at some of Dürer's other amazingly detailed drawings, for which he has become most famous. I'd recommend this title to anyone interested in Dürer's work, drawing or woodblock printing. If anyone's interested to know more about Dürer after seeing this video, I'd strongly recommend Great Artist's Vol 01 by Tim Marlow, which includes a very good episode focused on Dürer and his work.- Was this review helpful to you?
