If John Woo had gone to Bollywood instead

It's always disappointing when titans of world cinema go to Hollywood and become shadows of their former selves. Whilst I can understand the desire for a fresh challenge - Hollywood sucks out originality and waters down vision.

I loved Dus, it was like prime time John Woo - Hong Kong style heroic bloodshed (although without much blood). If you're looking for a crossover to ease you into Bollywood, this is highly recommended. Great performances, a good story gripping and tense - and plenty of 'John Woo' -style freeze frames lingering on the heroes.

    Great stuff!!!

    Good Movie

It was a good movie, full of action and nice songs. However, some weakness in the script, as quite a few questions unanswered. However, it is an entertaining movie.

    Entertaining modern bollywood movie

This movie is about the Indian MI5 and terrorism which in itself is innovative for a bollywood movie. Abishek Bachan does well in the movie but Sanjay Dutt should really stop being seen as the partner of a girl half his age! This is a good action movie, a little bit 'mission impossible', a lot like '24' but not obviously to the same standard. This is an entertaining bollywood fun film with a not so typical ending. If you are after a great storyline, look elsewhere, this one is just entertaining. Worth a look.

Perpaps I started off Indian foreign films on the wrong foot. This movie's attempt at being a Bollywood blockbuster failed me. I found the mixed English and Punjabi (or whatever) languages interesting but the acting didn't catch me and the storyline lost my interest altogether.

    DUS BIG PILES OF POO

Overly complicated movie trying to copy programs like 24/MI etc. Movie is esentially a la 'The Usual Suspects'. This movie is tedious to watch with all the camara tricks (director - get back to movie school!). Thankfully it's not a long movie - my wife told me, as i'd already abandoned for Match of the day. Much better movies out there.

    An Amazing flop !!!

This movie was an incredible waste of time ! The star cast led me to beleive that the movie will have some substance. The plot was good, but it was very poorly put together. One of those movies which make you pull your hair out ! If you value sensibility, dont waste your time on this one. The only good thing was the title song... Sorry Nitin, but this movie made me cry all the way.

    DUS - BRILLIANT STAR CAST

Yes, some more films like this. A lot of action and brilliant songs. Esha shines like her mum and her acting is super.
