He Is Professional And Entertaining On Television, But Something Of A Comic Hero When You Glimpse Him Live
World-Weary, Witty And Wonderfully Funny
An absolute genius.
He goes out his way to debunk a lot of the percieved myths in modern western society by tackling subjects like religion, woman, skinheads, health and wellbeing, smoking bans, Iraq war, etc. which are rammed down our throats by the popular press.
He is a master of the English language, where his cynical and skeptical yarns are spun with such incredible eloquence, that you have to watch his routine again.
His routine is approximately 80 minutes long - you would want it to be longer.
If you are a fan of 'Black Books' then this will appeal. If you were turned off by 'Black Books' then this might not be your style of comedy - although I would still recommend it despite this.
Dylan Moran has something familiar about him that hints at Dave Allen. Maybe it's the irritation with the world and the similar viewpoint they share e.g. children and how they always do something life threatening to themselves when you are 'doing something important like sitting down'. Dave Allen is in there somewhere which isn't to say that Dylan Moran isn't original, he is. Very.
Loved him in Black Books and stand up he's worth it!
