    Number of episodes per DVD

Having watched all 4 DVDs in the first series, the only disappointment was in the fact that the 4th DVD only has 2 episodes on it. Surely speading the episodes more evenly across the 4 DVDs would have been more sensible ? -

However, the 'out-takes' section on Disc 4 is worth a watch (especially the 'special' delivery !)

Hopefully series 2 onwards will be about some time ?

    Good memories of classic tv

It was good to watch some of the characters who have now moved on and I am sure the ladies will be delighted to see George Clooney again. It is also interesting, for those who have watched the show from the beginning to see how various characters within tghe show have developed. Can you remember Frank coming in as a cop, or Gerry doing the same job all those years ago. Noah Wyle, an ever present, and Sherry Lewis, now returned, are also there and, of course, Dr. Green.

    Keeps getting better

    Eight great episodes.

    Side A

91/2 Hours - Greene spends time with his wife, Jennifer. Carter spends time with Lewis.

ER Confidential - Thanksgiving episode. Unexpected surprise for Carter turns to tragedy. Chloe announces her pregnancy.

Blizzard - Fun and games in a deserted ER, then all hands to work.

The Gift - Christmas episode - Hathaway gets engaged.

    Side B

Happy New Year - Benton's and his sister disagree over the care of their mother, Chloe moves to Texas.

Luck of the Draw - A new student joins the ER.

Long Day's Journey - outstanding episode, Lewis and Kayson are brought together in unpleasant circumstances, Benton employs Jeanie Boulet and Ross has bad news for his patients.

Feb 5, 1995. Snake! Benton gets a dressing down from Haleh, Hathaway and Boulet. Greene's good news isn't welcome at home.

    THE hospital drama

I can't believe it's taken me this long to watch the first episodes, and finally see what the big fuss was about George Clooney in his green coat.

Worth the wait, though - from the first opening scene in the pilot this is standard-raising TV. Clooney's not as cute as I expected, but his character is classic, the human interest themes running through the episodes are convincing, and they handle 'issues' with real panache.
