  Eagle Eye has gone straight to number one on the US box office chart after its opening weekend on release. Starring Shia LeBeouf, the new thriller made some $29.2 million (£16.2 million) in its first three days, despite only receiving mediocre reviews. The movie is directed by DJ Caruso and focuses on the story of strangers who become fugitives after mysterious phone calls force them into dangerous situations.   Beverly Hills Chihuahua has taken the number one slot on the US box office, giving Disney its best ever October opening. Featuring Drew Barrymore as the voice of a pampered pet who gets lost in Mexico, the family comedy made $29 million (£16.5 million) during its first three days on release.
