[Highly rated reviewer]I agree with the previous reviewer: it's a little hard to believe how a government computer has the intelligence (or the programming) to decide what is right or wrong and act accordingly. Basically it's the story of how 2 unrelated strangers are bought together and forced to carry out terrorist activity for the mastermind computer 'Ariel' (I think it's called). Monaghan and Shia's characters are simple pawns in the whole game. The plot is therefore far fetched and deeply flawed, however I cannot fault the non stop action from beginning to end.So for that reason I give the film a 3, because it kept me gripped to the screen right till the end.

illegal eye.By furryface (75 reviews) from Bexhill-on-Sea , 16 Nov 2011entertaining if not completely ridiculous, this full on action flick revolves around shia laboufs slacker jerry character and his 'activation' into a covert op by a rogue gorvernment supercomputer. This supercomputer can control literally everything with an electrical signal manipulating traffic lights, cranes, streesigns and mostly anytthing else in order to carry out the mission.
essentially a lesson about the depths and dangers of modern servailance, this could have been a good film but of course this is hollywood and thus this loses the plot 5 minutes in.
It is a shame as the writing is clerver for this type of film, the acting is decent, especially thornton and the effects are good. Unfortunately there is a complete disregard for human life with cars crushed every 3 seconds and innocent people blown up without so much as a pause for thought. in the one or two 'emotional' moments the film improves but they are short lived.
cant argue with the quality of the action and pace as they are excellent but there could have been at least dome feeling put into the film. it always seems to elude the directors that when average people are thrown into such a tough , ridiculous situation they may just break a little.
defintely watchable fluff.
worth a watchBy Superman69 (1 review) , 04 Oct 2011I liked this movie, fast pace and a good twist in the plot. Some funny lines and action packed but with little adult content so a good one for the kids!

Fast action and entertainment in 1!By Simi7 (6 reviews) , 02 Sep 2011I really enjoyed this film as it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The constant action and the thrill of the ride with Shia along with piecing together the plot as it enfolds is both exhilarating and enjoyable. A seen before storyline but refreshingly done!
