  • Great music, just don't expect too much of a game!

    [Highly rated reviewer]

The PS2 racing genre is fast becoming overcrowded (I've played over 200 driving games on the console), so the novelty of a death metal soundtrack really appealed to me more than Generic Racing Game 57. Needless to say, if you prefer Moby to Mortiis then steer well clear - this isn't for you.

Putting in over three hours of music is great, but gameplay that lasts barely half that time isn't. You only need to win 12 races to finish the game, and the power-up system that keeps firing lightning bolts at the race leader is annoying and means no real skill is needed to win races.

Fans of the likes of Morbid Angel and Decide will enjoy the chance to play a game with their kind of music for a change - and there's plenty of unlockable film clips too. Just don't expect too much of a game.
