Fonda: 'We smoked real pot on Easy Rider'

Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper smoked real cannabis during a scene for movie classic Easy Rider. Fonda has confessed the trio used "real pot" to capture the moment Nicholson's character tries the drug for the first time. But he refutes longstanding rumours they took LSD on the set of the 1969 movie. Fonda tells Extra, "We did not take LSD, no matter what the rumours say. Ailing movie legend Dennis Hopper has finally got something to smile about as he battles divorce and cancer - the Easy Rider star is to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actor will unveil the 2,403rd star in front of the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on 26 March (10). Viggo Mortensen will be on hand to induct Hopper into the Walk of Fame. Dennis Hopper's estranged wife is refusing to move off his property while the actor battles terminal prostate cancer - because she's broke, according to a new report. A judge ordered Victoria Duffy to leave the actor's Venice, California residence by 15 March (10) after granting the Easy Rider star a restraining order against her last month (Feb10). Court records reveal the Easy Rider star, who is battling prostate cancer, has begun proceedings to end the union, citing irreconcilable differences.
