Feel good, brilliant Film!
By a customer from SW London , 08 Nov 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
Brilliant, Brilliant feel good movie, with exceptionally well selected actors who did justice to Cowards' play. The only thing I would change is perhaps get Biel to look less pumped up in the biceps department as racing drivers back in the 20's (surely not?)didn't have such masculine biceps like hers. The rest is just a flawless effort to bring this brilliant play back to life. I loved it and just wished it had lasted a bit longer!- Was this review helpful to you?

Wonderfully British
By kimbo88 (24 reviews) , 26 Mar 2013I went to the cinema to see this when it first came out and then totally forgot about it until recently! So I thought I'd refresh my memory. I love this film, it's quirky, funny and typicaly British with a fantastic cast full of well known actors. Typical BBC stuff in a way but thouroughly enjoyable. Would definately reccommend.- Was this review helpful to you?

A great film with much virtue
By Bobsview (559 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 04 Mar 2013British film based on Noel Coward play set just after 1WW. Prodigal son returns home with gorgeous American wife (Jessica Biel) and incurs the prejudice and hostility of his snobby aristocrat mother (Kristin Scott Thomas). Brilliant cast includes Colin Firth. Meanders between comedy and serious statement but very entertaining with an unexpected twist ending.- Was this review helpful to you?
