Thankfully no hollywood over theatrics in this tale about an elderly gent who takes in his pregnant niece and homosexual nephew when they are thrown out off their family homes......an understated performance from all concerned make this film very enjoyable- Was this review helpful to you?

An Investment of time

hollywood special effects. Just good storytelling, characters
you can actually care about. Well acted, and directed,

Defiance,Trust or dare ?
By t-t (38 reviews) , 16 Sep 2011Conglomeration of relationships, intertwined with despair, delights, enlightenment. Shows the stark defiance against commercial beaujouis with simple pleasures and deep rooted latin family ties. Emotionally charged, definitely brings a tear.
