Beautiful Brit Flick
By DCU (1 review) , 21 Apr 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
I thought this was charming & really engaging, not immediately, but it slowly drew me into a world of people not usually portrayed on screen. Some beautiful images help create an eerie atmosphere in which the characters slowly reveal their personal 'flaws' which help them all come together. A little slow to start but worth going with it, it's certainly stayed with me. A great brit flick!- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Dull was made to describe this film
By PedroDurham (16 reviews) from Durham , 20 Aug 2012This was like watching paint dry, no that would have been better. The acting was good the plot was so so lacking.- Was this review helpful to you?

OMG what rubbish.
By jonathonwildby (15 reviews) , 01 Jul 2012We ditched this film less than half way through. Seemed like absolute rubbish. Maxine Peake, who we have great respect for as an actress must have been starting out and needing some funds! Sorry cannot agree with some of the other reviews which considered it excellent.- Was this review helpful to you?

Wistful and Blue
By FrankIV (506 reviews) from Cirencester, England , 21 May 2012This is unusual and intriguing, a sort of portmanteau story in which different people check in to a hotel and live their own stories before being united by events and a revelation. It's shot with some beautiful, limpid landscapes and has a good cast including the wonderful Maxine Peake. It's gentle, wistful and different, and, although most of the characters keeping hopping over the 'irritating' boundary and back, exerts some charm. Some are going to hate it, and I sort of understand why, but it worked for me.- Was this review helpful to you?
