I expected this film to go into great detail about Eichmanns role in the Nazi Machine but unfortunalty felt that it fell a long way short in this respect and as this is the only facet to the film and of course knowing the outcome of the interigation I think this is a complete waste of time and effort for all those involved.
I suggest you give this a miss and just Google Eichman and read a few articles if you're at all intrested intrested.- Was this review helpful to you?

(20)ONCE AGAIN- NO SUB-TITLES

Insufficient back story, but stellar performance
By SeteezenX (106 reviews) , 06 Jan 2013Kretschmann's portrayal of Eichmann, who sees himself as a blameless transport officer who was never an anti Semite, is first rate. He totally nails, with staggering understatement, the total lack of empathy of his character's role in the implementation of the final solution, by stating; 'they were only Jews'. Great acting aside, the two stars are because of the fact that there was almost no background information. The story begins with Eichmann's interrogation, after his kidnapping by Mossad in Buenos Aires in 1960, and the entire film is dedicated to this questioning, with a view to extracting an admission of guilt. Personally I'd have preferred to see how Eichmann became involved with the SS, and his subsequent life during the war, followed by his flight to South America and, finally, his capture by the Israelis. I guess I'll have to watch a documentary about it instead. Disappointing, but still worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

ironic coincidence, or reality?
By a customer , 05 Jan 2013Excellent film, conveyed the detail of the Israeli 7 month interrogation of this infamous figure. I have an eye for detail, and i do ask the question, ' did the real Captain that interrogated Eichmann really drive a VW?' if he did, a little ironic don't you think. worth a history lesson view

By a customer , 11 Nov 2011Very good film, i enjoy watching War films and Documentaries and others my disagree but it is very factual about the third reich.
Adolf Eichman's role is very well played by Kretchsmen because he has the perfect voice for it. It is a big shame that Himmler never faced a trial because he deserved to be tortured after what he did.- Was this review helpful to you?
