  Dame Helen Mirren's portrayal of The Queen is movie fans' favourite royal role, according to a new online poll. In anticipation of Colin Firth's Best Actor win at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (16Jan11) for The King's Speech, and his assured Oscar nomination, websites WENN and Fandango.com staged a weekend vote to find the best movie monarch.   'Majestic' Mirren wins in Venice

  Dame Helen Mirren has won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her portrayal of Elizabeth II in The Queen. The film, which tells the story of the aftermath of Princess Diana's death in 1997, was the only British movie in the competition but, despite Mirren being hailed 'your Majesty' in the awards ceremony, did not succeed in carrying off the Best Film prize.
