    [Highly rated reviewer]

This must be one of the worst films I have seen in many years. It was actually embarrasing to watch such terrible directing, script and actors. It tries to be funny and quirky but just falls flat. There are American flags hanging up in nearly every scene, and I thought it was meant to be a pi*s take of stereo typical small american town syndrome but then realized it actually was just a very patriotic director. The rest of the film made me cringe and had to switch it off eventually because it was too painful watching a film trying so hard to be something it was could never achieve. I would almost recomend you watch it just to see how bad this thing is, or just to take the mickey. Zero stars

Orlando Bloom has the on-screen prescence of a sandwich; Alec Baldwin's 5 min cameo is the best bit of a 2hr film. watch Snowtown instead, it'll chill you to the bone

  • A melancholic film for chilling out

If you're into action packed movies then it isn't one for you, but if you like sweet films, filled with a lot of dialogue, then its perfect. Its got quite a deep story, involving loss of various things, which makes it quite melancholic. Granted, not the best film, but it isn't 'diabolical', nowhere near.

  • Elizabethtown - Don't bother visiting.

Absolutely awful film. Thought it might be good with Orlando Bloom but it wasn't. We all ditched it after 50 minutes. There was a funny bit in the beginning, but then went downhill.

  • The Miracle of Life

A gentle sort of Sunday-afternoon film where nothing really earth-shattering (by movie standards) happens, but everything that is earth-shattering (by life standards) also happens, ELIZABETHTOWN is testament to the Mervyn Peake poem 'To live at all is miracle enough'. A decent performance, for once, by the usually wooden Orlando Bloom, and Kirsten Dunst's air hostess's distinctly un-Zeitgeist positivity, supported by a great cast (Alec Baldwin seems to be building his latter career on playing bonkers) make this a refreshing indie take on life, death, love, failure, and the pitfalls of reuniting your old rock band, underscored by a beautiful soundtrack.
