This documentary opens with a soft focus, wooden Priscilla Presley saying 'Good evening...and welcome to Graceland'. Yet what follows is not the sentimental fluff piece that those first few minutes suggest. This is a supringly in depth portrait of the personal life of Elvis. I found the documentary left me liking Elvis' character less. He comes across as a domineering, selfish dictator. One is left with the sense of a complex and tragic figure who remains fascinating today. Was interested to see the section on his religious seeking. Watch out for the bizarre inclusion of songs as a way of conveying Elvis' opinion. (e.g. during a section on Elvis bad temper it suddenly flicks to him singing 'If you're looking for trouble, youve come to the right place'). This could be effective if done once or twice, but this technique is used throughout. All that said, this is not just for fans, give this a go.
any elvis fan will love this
excellent dvd lots of unseen footage.

Very interesting, even for someone like me who was curious about the Presley family but couldn't claim to be a true Elvis fan, in any sense of the word.
I will have to watch it again!
Disc 2 is as good as Disc 1, this set is by far the best Elvis documenary I have seen. Lets just hope RCA Release some music compilations now it is about time one was availiable, as they keep releasing audio disc.
I was so excited to get to see this as an avid Elvis fan since my parents listened to him all through my childhood and I have personally enjoyed him ever since. But when I watched the documentary I was still wanting to know a bit more about the 'real' Elvis. Although I felt Priscilla tried to be candid and give the viewer an indepth view of the 'King' Lisa Marie was a lot more guarded and not really able to convey the warmth of someone giving her fathers fans a look into his/their lives. Overall a good watch but I hope for a bit more someday.
A good insight into Elvis and his life, more thorough than the tv programme. Kept you viewing and wanting to know more.
documentary was ok but seen it all before.
Strictly for mad elvis fans who would love all to do with this legend.
