Hidden amongst an appalling transfer, dimly lit set and indecipherable scientific babble, lies a decent piece of cinematic trash. Rock Hudson stars has Dr Paul Holliston, a scientist who devises a method of growing foetuses outside of the womb. After an initial success with a puppy, he quickly moves onto the human species and the result is Victoria (Barbara Carrera) a beautiful but unfortunately biologically unstable young woman. Full to the brim with over emotive acting, cheesy dialogue, off-the-wall set pieces (check out the house ?party? scenes) and a truly unbelievable finale. Unfortunately the pace is slowed somewhat by a series of unnecessary laboratory sequences but if you are willing to ride these out there are great ?what the f??? moments. So if you are a fan of trashy, low-budget Sci-Fi films then this is certainly worth a look but be warned the picture quality is extremely poor and the sound quality isn?t much better. A moderately entertaining 2.5/5.
