Empire Strikes!
By Vask16 (1 review) from Plymouth, UK , 30 Apr 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
Just another day at work becomes a frantic race to save a record store from closure when one employee gambles away the profits.
With a top-notch cast who, mostly before becoming household names, genuinely look like theyr'e having fun. The enthusiasm rubs off on you as you watch. Topped off with one of the best Indie soundtracks ever compiled.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cringe Worthy
By TGS (4 reviews) , 13 Apr 2012The first 15 minutes should have been enough, but I stayed for 30. Absolutely dreadful. I've had more fun digging the garden (in the rain).- Was this review helpful to you?

Cheesy 90s fun
By JonCollins (4 reviews) from Bristol , 18 Nov 2010I can see why people would think this film is annoying or bad. It is predictable, the characters are pretty one-dimensional and the narrative is choppy but this is a fun film in the same vein as other 80s/90s cult classics like Ferris Bueller and The Breakfast Club.
Perfect for those times when you want a film that will entertain without requiring you to try too hard. It's a shame that mindless fun like this doesn't get made very often these days.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cheesy Fun
By Joober (37 reviews) from Bradford , 23 May 2010I really enjoyed this, the boyfriend hated it. I think it is like Breakfast Club set in a record store. Enjoyed Liv Tyler and Renee Zewelleger(?)'s performances. Lightweight silly froth but enjoyable nevertheless.- Was this review helpful to you?
