  • Great band, great concert, poor editing

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Enchant are a vastly underrated band who play great music typified by great harmony singing, technical but always tuneful guitar and keyboard work and an uber-tight rhythm section. This concert provides a great introduction to the band, with a long set made up of songs from most if not all of their albums, performed in an intimate venue with a crowd of their fans. So performance-wise it's top class, but technically this DVD isn't great. No particular problems with the camerawork beyond a few iffy angles, but whoever edited it has obviously never edited a concert video before. The drum camera is out of sync throughout the video, as are some of the other shots to varying degrees. It's really not difficult to get audio and video in sync with each other, and this is very poor, which makes the concert quite difficult to watch. A real shame, as it's well worth a watch otherwise.
