Comic book action adventure Iron Man has smashed through the $100 million (£50 million) barrier at the US box office on its opening weekend, according to the latest figures from the boffins at Nielsen. Enchanting Adams signs on for Museum visit

Enchanted star Amy Adams has joined the cast of Night At The Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian, according to reports. Industry bible Variety says Adams, who is also currently appearing alongside Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in Charlie Wilson's War, will join the returning Ben Stiller for the film, which sees the action move from New York to Washington DC. Katherine Heigl rom-com 27 Dresses has held on to the number one position at the UK box office, according to new figures from the number-crunchers at Nielsen.
